Message From The Founder
Dear Friends and Supporters of African Dream,
In 2009, we embarked on a journey to transform the lives of economically challenged youths, women, and communities across Cameroon. Our mission was clear: to develop potentials and empower people to take charge of their economic destinies. Today, as we reflect on our path and look towards the future, I am filled with immense humility and hope for what lies ahead.
Youth unemployment remains one of the most pressing challenges in our society. Over 70% of Cameroonians are under the age of 35, and many are struggling to find opportunities that allow them to harness their potential. This is not just a statistic; it is a call to action. It is a call that African Dream has answered with unwavering commitment and determination.
Through our work in microfinance, entrepreneurship, social business, and community economic development, we are changing lives and rewriting narratives. Our focus on capacity-building and skills development equips young people with the tools they need to thrive. By providing access to finance, we enable dreams to turn into realities, fostering entrepreneurship that drives economic growth and innovation.
We pay special attention to the most vulnerable among us—teen mothers, who often face insurmountable challenges. Our programs are designed to offer them a lifeline, helping them reintegrate into the workforce and secure a better future for themselves and their children.
Our strategic pillars guide us in this mission. From capacity-building and skills development to community engagement and economic development, every initiative is aimed at creating a sustainable and prosperous future. We advocate for policies that support youth employment and economic empowerment, ensuring that our voices are heard and our impact is felt at the highest levels.
As we move forward, I am inspired by the resilience and potential of the people we serve. Their stories of triumph over adversity fuel our drive to do more, to be more. We are not just building businesses; we are building communities. We are not just providing loans; we are providing hope. We are not just training individuals; we are transforming lives.
Together, we are creating a vibrant ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurship, social innovations, and community development. Together, we are contributing to a prosperous and equitable society.
I invite you to join us on this transformative journey. Together, we can empower lives and change the African narrative for the better.
Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in the vision of African Dream.
With gratitude and determination,

"I urge anyone who has an idea for a social business to start work on it as soon as possible. Even if it improves life for only five people – lifting them out of poverty, providing them with water, a home, or bringing them affordable healthcare – it is worth undertaking. It's not necessary to wait to see the impact on millions of people. “Millions” is a big number. But if your work has a positive impact on five or ten people, you have invented a seed. Now you can plant it a million times.”
